Cheery wee Robin

After a long time away, I returned to Kinross at the beginning of winter and there wasn't much colour around to photograph, but this wee Robin keeking out of this Cottoneaster bush fairly brightened up our day.

I found a description of a bird like this called a "Serin", but apparently sightings are rare.

Red Deer

Okay, admittedly I cheated and found this tame beastie at the Deer Farm, but you will find lots of them in the Forests around Kinross. 
Also Sika Deer as shown on the right, they even wander around Kinross Golf Course where I have startled them often - amazing what you see when you haven't got a Camera
